what is better about the xbox 360 pro compared to the xbox 360 core?

Obviously the 20G harddrive and its better for xbox live, but what else? If i don’t plan on playing xbox live, which is a better choice for me?

It’s actually called the 360 Elite. It has about double the memory space of the original 360, it has an HD player I believe built into it, and another HDMI capable application which I forget. Just look up “360 Elite”, Im sure you’ll get your information.
….plus it is black so it looks cooler
Wait nevermind I just reread your question a little better. The core doesnt have an HD cable, it has a standard one, comes with a wired controller, and I dont think it comes with a wireless router.
Elite
-HDMI cable. Unnecessary unless you have 1080p HDTV that accepts it and even then, the component cables you get with the 360 Core and Premium work fine.
-120 GB hard drive.
-It’s black.
-It’s $480 plus tax.
Premium (what I have)
-20 GB hard drive. I personally don’t even fill this up so I have no need for a 120 gb drive.
-It’s white with a chrome disc tray.
-It’s $400.
Core
-No hard drive.
-It’s $300.
**If I were to buy a 360 today, I’d buy a Premium WITH a two year warranty from Best Buy or whatever. Because it likely WILL break and you can exchange the product in store rather than wait for Microsfot (with their warranty) to mail you a coffin, mail your 360 to them, and have them return it. Note that I have heard a rumor in-store policies might be changing because of the # of 360s returned broken; you’d have to mail it in even with the in-store warranty … but that’s just a rumor. IF that rumor were true, I’d buy an Elite which has some changes to the board which MAY prevent it from an untimely death a la some many Cores and Premiums.
**I LOVE the 360 but mine just broke and if I didn’t get MS to fix it for free, I might sell it as broken. If I REALLY had to do it all over again, I might buy a PS3 but they’re $600+ tax … though they seem to be MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more reliable. The PS3 library is horrible right now … and the 360 has outperformed it in just about every game that’s made for both systems.
for the last poster he’s not talking about the elite he is asking about the difference between the core version and the premium version (at least that’s what it seems since he mentions the 20gb hard drive and not the 120gb) But the answer to your question is this.
Xbox 360 Premium System Includes:
Xbox 360 Console
Hard Drive (20 GB)
Wireless Controller
Headset
Faceplate
Ethernet Connectivity Cable
Component HD-AV Cable
Xbox Live Silver membership
Xbox Live Gold 30-day trial
Xbox 360 Core System Includes:
Xbox 360 Console
Faceplate
Wired Controller
Standard AV Cable
Core, if you cant afford or dont want to waste money. But if you can but the pro because you can store a whole moolah of things on the 20 GB!
